The City Council of the City of King City is currently accepting applications to the Budget Committee. The City has seven (7) positions open.
Positions Open:

Three (3) Terms expired on December 31, 2023

Four (4) Terms expired on December 21, 2022
The City staff will interview and review all applications. The City staff will then make a recommendation to the City Council based on the qualifications, experience, and Municipal Code and State criteria.
The City Council will review all recommended applications.
The terms of service are 3 years. Applicants must be (1) King City residents, (2) may not be an officer or employee of the City, and (3) must be a qualified voter of the City. The purpose of the Budget Committee is to review the budget documents as proposed by the budget officer.
Once satisfied with the budget, the Committee approves it and forwards it to the City Council for public hearing and adoption. Budget Committee meetings typically occur in May and are noticed as required by law. Meetings are open to the public, and public comment is heard at least one of the meetings.
Applications may be obtained at City Hall, 15300 SW 116thAve, King City, OR 97224, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
