Passport Hours

Normal Processing Hours

Plan Ahead!

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and  Fridays
9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Closed for lunch (12 to 1 pm)
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm NO Passports Acceptance after 4:00 PM sharp.

Staff will try their best to serve as many customers as they can. Staff stops accepting passports at 4:00 pm sharp for the day. If we don’t get to you by 4:00 pm, you will have to come back later. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

No appointments needed - We are a walk-in facility, a first-come-first-served.
Wait times can be up to 45 minutes or longer on no-school days.  Take a number and wait inside the building.

With the high volume of passport customers, we will ONLY call your number three times; if you are not in the building, we will go to the next number, and you will have to pull a new number.

Hours are subject to change without notice.

The Passport window is closed when King City - City Hall is closed. Check the main page for holiday and emergency closures.  City Hall is closed on all federal holidays.

Please be advised: On school holidays, school service days, or Friday afternoons, our customer volume can increase dramatically.

Alternatives

Other passport acceptance facilities are available. Please contact them directly for the hours and times when they provide their services.

Attention

A United States passport can be issued only to U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals

Apply Early: Because of increases in COVID-19 cases and local health conditions, we have an extremely limited number for in-person services if you are traveling in the next 72 hours (3 business days). Some agencies and centers can only assist customers with life-or-death emergencies. Other agencies and centers may also offer an extremely limited number of appointments if you have urgent travel in the next 72 hours (3 business days) for reasons other than a life-or-death emergency. Visit our Passport Agency and Center page to learn more.
