Geographic Information System (GIS)
Welcome to the City of King City Geographic Information System (GIS) website. Here you can view our interactive maps as well as download the data they contain.
What is GIS?
GIS is a collection of computer hardware, software, and geographic data for capturing, managing, analyzing, and displaying all forms of geographical information.
The mission of the GIS Office is to deliver complete, timely, and accurate geographic information that expands the City of King City's ability to provide quality services. The Geographic Information System website promotes the use of GIS to quickly address problems and help in decision support regarding the land use, infrastructure, and natural resources of our beautiful City.
GIS Office also cooperates with neighboring jurisdictions to maintain a seamless GIS database across the metro region. Because of this multi-jurisdictional effort, land use and transportation patterns can be modeled and studied on a regional basis as well as locally.
Below are a few of our most popular maps and apps.
