Delinquent Registration: 10% of the original business tax plus interest at 9% per annum from the due date until full payment is received. Business Registrations are considered delinquent thirty (30) days after July 1st every year.

The City of King City recognizes the Metro License for builders and landscape contractors. If your business is not located in King City and you have a Metro License, you are not required to obtain a King City Business License. For more information about the Metro License, call 503-797-1620 or visit their website at www.oregonmetro.gov.
If you are doing business out of your home in King City, a home occupation permit is required. For more information and to obtain the current fee amount regarding a home occupation permit, contact the Planning Department at 503-482-8702.
ALARM PERMIT: If your business has an active alarm system, you must complete an Alarm Permit application and pay the appropriate fee to the King City Police Department. For more information regarding security alarm permits, please call the Alarm Coordinator at 503-639-4082.
