Shawna Thompson, Mayor
Mayor Thompson first joined the King City Council in the spring of 2020 when she was appointed to a vacant seat on the council. Prior to joining the council, Shawna was a member of the King City Planning Commission.
In November of 2020, Shawna ran for office and was elected to a 4 year term as a City Councilor.
Mayor Thompson was selected by her fellow councilors to assume the position of Mayor in March of 2024, filling the vacant Mayor position.
Mayor Thompson’s term on the council will end on December 31, 2024.
