KING CITY COUNCIL ELECTS OFFICERS FOR 2019

            The King City Council met January 16th  to elect their officers for the 2019 year:

Mayor Ken Gibson was unanimously reelected by the Council, along with Jaimie Fender, President; John Boylston, Secretary; and Gretchen Buehner, Treasurer.

            Ordinances and Public Hearing regarding Municipal Code and Zone Changes were read and talked about; This ordinance is scheduled for a second reading and a vote on February 20.  Other matters concerned a sidewalk agreement by ODOT, relating to Durham Rd. and Royalty Parkway.  Regular business such as accounting and the 2019 budget, were presented and approved.

            The new Council Members, Micah Paulson, and David Platt were sworn in by City Manager, Michael Weston.   Former Council Woman, Billie Reynolds was appointed to the Planning Commission.

            The City Manager’s Report was given,  including an update on the ballpark at the Community Park changes and costs.  There is hope that it will be ready for use by June 2019.

             Due to the remodeling of the current City Hall, all meetings until April or May will be held at the Crown Center.
